Kids will have fun finding gifts and placing them back inside Santa’s sleigh with this interactive Christmas gift scavenger hunt! Hide all six gifts and clues around the house for kids to find. This scavenger hunt also features the option to personalize the final clue card and hide a real gift or surprise at the end!
This scavenger hunt is a great passive activity to set out for kids to do during parties and events. Players start with the sleigh printable that includes the first clue. Hide the other clues and as many printable gifts as needed in the designated hiding places. Hiding places are common items and locations found around the home.
Materials needed:
- Free Christmas Gift Scavenger Hunt Printable
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Paperclips or envelopes

Print pages 2-4 on 8.5×11″ paper or cardstock. I recommend cardstock for durability. If you are preparing the hunt for more than one player, each player will need a sleigh printout (pg. 4) and a set of gifts 1-6. Page 5 includes extra gifts if needed.
Cut out all five clues. You only need one set of clues.
Cut out all six gifts. Paper clip each gift to its corresponding clue. For example, gift #1 goes with clue #1. *If you are preparing this hunt for many players I recommend glueing the clues to envelopes and placing the gifts inside.
Write a personal message on the sixth clue card if desired.
Hide all clues and gifts in hiding places listed. Hide a gift or small surprise with clue #6 if desired.
Give player(s) the sleigh, which has the first clue, to begin the hunt.
As players find each clue and gift, have them glue or tape the gift into the back of the sleigh. Stack them on top of eachother to make them fit.

Hiding places are common items or locations in a typical home. Some are more open-ended than others.
Hide each gift and clue in the following location:
- Near something gray
- Inside dirty laundry basket
- On the Christmas tree
- Inside a drawer
- Inside the fridge, freezer, or a cooler
- Behind something red
