Celebrate spring with this pretty little printable wildflower scavenger hunt. Kids can help the wildflowers bloom by finding the six hidden flowers and gluing each onto a stem. When the scavenger hunt is finished you will have a nice colorful picture to hang up as decor. A great activity for the first day of spring, Easter, Earth Day, Pollinator Week and more!
Setting up this scavenger hunt is quick and easy. Simply cut out the wildflowers and hide each in a different location of your choosing. I usually put each flower into a plastic Easter egg or envelope so it’s easier to find. Then, give each child a copy of the wildflower scavenger hunt printout. Have them find and glue the flowers onto the stems.
This scavenger hunt works well for toddler, preschool, and grade school-aged children. It’s a great hands-on activity that teaches problem solving skills to young kids on the go! Scavenger hunts are also a fun way for kids to practice critical thinking and observation skills. Afterwards, search in your own backyard or neighborhood to see how many real wildflowers you can spot!
Happy first day of spring!
