It’s a battle of the monsters in the graveyard tonight! Choose your monster and start the tic-tac-toe fight! Check out this spooky spin on one of the most classic games out there: tic-tac-toe. Cut out the monster playing chips and have players choose a monster to go head-to-head on the graveyard-themed board. This is a great passive Halloween activity to set out at home, in the classroom, or at a party. Players can hold tournaments to see which of the eight monsters buries the competition.

This printable includes one game board and ten playing chips for each monster. There are eight different monsters: ogre, werewolf, witch, zombie, frankenstein, ghost, skeleton, vampire. Print more than one copy of the board to get multiple games going at once. Two players can play on a board at once.

Print all pages on 8.5×11″ paper or cardstock. I recommend cardstock for durability.

Cut out the monster playing chips. You should have ten chips for each monster.

This is a two-player game. Have players each choose a monster. Players will take turns playing their monster chips on the board. The first player to get three of their monsters in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal row wins. If all monster chips are played and no one has gotten three in a row the game is a tie and players can go again with the opposite player going first.
